GIFTING / PACKAGING DESIGN STUDY

Coordinated Gift Packaging: One Identity Across Multiple Formats

One identity across a coordinated packaging collection.

Packaging design study based on a branded concept image. Materials and production methods below are development proposals, subject to physical sample approval.

01 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

One collection. Different packaging roles.

A coordinated packaging range needs more than the same logo on different boxes. The dimensions, proportions, visible surfaces and artwork positions change with each format. This design direction examines how a collection can remain recognizable while each component serves a different product or gifting role.

02 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

The design challenge

Different box sizes can weaken the consistency of a collection. A logo that works on a large lid may look crowded on a smaller format. Paper, color and print alignment therefore need a shared specification, with artwork adjusted for each structure.

03 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

A unified visual identity

Define a common color palette, brand area and graphic rhythm for the full range. Adapt the layout to each lid and panel instead of scaling the entire artwork proportionally. Prepare a range overview so the buyer can review the collection as a set.

Design reference: review the relationship between brand placement, proportions and the overall presentation. Concept image; not a production photograph.
04 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Inside the packaging collection

Select a coordinated wrap paper and compare board constructions against each gift weight. The large format may require a different structural allowance from a smaller box. The interior should be developed around the actual gifts, rather than assuming one insert works across the range.

05 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Where material meets finishing

Keep one primary finish across the collection to establish consistency. Compare foil and print samples on the chosen paper, particularly where small lettering or fine lines appear. Record an approved color and surface reference for all formats.

06 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

From design approval to production

Develop a separate dieline and assembly sample for each format. Check opening clearance, edge alignment and the presentation of the gift. Consolidate the approved versions into a specification sheet so individual formats are not mixed during production or packing.

01Confirm the dieline

Check dimensions, opening and product fit.

02Approve the decorated sample

Review color, logo, surface and assembly.

03Lock the specification

Record revisions and acceptance criteria.

04Confirm packing

Agree protection, carton layout and identification.

07 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Protecting the presentation in transit

Confirm the delivery destination, packed weight, carton quantities and required arrival date before selecting a shipment plan. Record the packing arrangement and carton identification in the approved specification. Production and transport dates should be quoted against the final artwork, sample approval and order quantity.

08 / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

A coordinated packaging solution

A quotation-ready specification should bring together the approved artwork, structural drawing, material references, product fit, finishing reference, packing method and acceptance criteria. These documents provide a buyer with a clear basis for reviewing the proposal and comparing the delivered packaging with the agreed sample.
