Describe the product
Include dimensions, weight, fragility and how many items belong in each pack. State whether dimensions refer to the product, inner box space or outside of the box.
Set the project boundaries
Record estimated order quantity, target budget, destination and desired arrival date. Identify whether the packaging is for retail display, parcel shipping or both.
Gather design references
Share your own brand assets and examples of desired structures, textures or opening styles. Note what you like about each reference without assuming that every finish is suitable for your project.
Agree what needs approval
Ask which drawings, artwork files and physical samples need to be signed off. Confirm how specification changes affect the quotation and schedule.
